Job Summary
We are searching for an imaginative Civil Engineer to design, develop, and build a wide range of projects in the physically and naturally built environment from start to finish. You will have a say in how the world appears, work in a rapidly rising industry, contribute to successful economies, and have a long-term good impact on society.
Duties and responsibilities
- Manage, design, develop, implement, and maintain small- to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely, and sustainable way.
- Conduct on-site investigations and analyse data (maps, reports, tests, drawings, etc.).
- Conduct technical and feasibility studies, and develop designs that meet technical standards.
- Evaluate potential risks, materials, and costs.
- Provide suggestions and creatively solve any developing problems/deficiencies.
- Oversee and mentor staff, and communicate with various stakeholders.
- Handover the resulting structures and services for use.
- Monitor progress and create reports on project status.
- Manage budget and buy equipment/materials.
- Comply with standards and regulations, including permits and safety, and deliver technical files and other technical data as needed.
- Perform other related tasks as specified by management.
Requirements and Skills
- Minimum of 6 years of demonstrated work experience in civil engineering.
- B.Sc/M.Sc in Civil Engineering
- Excellent understanding of design and visualisation tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or comparable.
- Expertise in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals, etc.
- Project management and supervision skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Licence of professional engineer
- Must live in Benin City.
