The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) works worldwide to provide protection and humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflict and armed violence. We take action in response to emergencies and at the same time promote respect for international humanitarian law. We are an independent and neutral organization, and our mandate stems essentially from the Geneva Conventions of 1949. We work closely with National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and with their International Federation in order to ensure a concerted, rational and rapid humanitarian response to the needs of the victims of armed conflict or any other situation of internal violence. We direct and coordinate the international activities conducted in these situations.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Premises Manager II
Location: Abuja (FCT)

The Purpose
- Under the supervision of the Finance & Admin Coordinator, Premises Manager 2 manages the department in charge of ICRC premises and infrastructure within the delegation.
- He/She will be responsible for the infrastructures and services functioning, managing all “soft” or “hard” services files and the related external provider.
Your Role
- Participates in determining accommodation and office space needs and identifies premises accordingly.
- Analyses the setting-up of premises, including the passive security measures in place, and proposes corrective measures when necessary. Manages the security guard’s agreement of the delegation.
- Deals with external contacts, service providers and suppliers; and coordinates with the maintenance supervisor on the works/jobs carried out by external providers.
- Supervises and controls premises/maintenance-related expenses and service costs, ensuring proper and efficient use of resources. Validates of request and expenses under the threshold on STM.
- Managing delegation premises project and other related activities, in proper interaction with Wathab and Logistics Department.
- Maintains relevant stocks and makes sure the inventories of equipment in premises (residences, office and warehouse) / stocks are regularly updated. Is responsible for the annual inventory of movables.
- Supervises the department in charge of premises and infrastructure, including housekeepers. Trains and supervises the staff and organizes their work.
- Contributes to establishing and implementation of the housing policy and standard items list.
- Takes active part in drawing up new lease agreements, negotiating with interlocutors for renewals and/or terminations in line with the internal standards, prepares AoE for new premises.
- Support the field in identifying new premises or drawing and implementation of new projects.
- Actively participates in the workspace environment planning and evolution.
Your Profile: Education & Experience
- University Degree or advanced technical certificate or equivalent.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Computer proficiency.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Confirmed management skills.
- Valid driver’s license
- 6 – 9 years’ experience in the same field of activity
- Applicant must have a valid working permit to work in Nigeria.
